ABOUT US

Faith Aglow is a bible believing church with great fellowship and teaching of Gods word. The church is called to share the good news of the love of Jesus Christ to everyone.

When we come together, we pray, praise and worship God, and share in His Word.

As a church, we are a family with our hearts and doors open to people of all race, background or circumstance. Accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour makes the difference. We are passionate about enjoying everyday family life. We encourage Godly relationships and Christian family virtues.

OUR VISION

To share The Word of God with power and the anointing of the Holy Spirit, restoring beauty to the community and the nations through the teaching and the preaching of the Word of Faith. The word which God sent...preaching peace by Jesus Christ; He is Lord of All. Act 10:36.

To provide an atmosphere of worship where everyone can experience the presence of God and hear His Word, thereby increasing in Faith and walking in divine healing.

OUR SERVICES

Are you planning on trying out Faith Aglow to understand more about us and what we do? Or are you a guest for a baptism, thanksgiving, marriage, funeral or visiting friends and worshiping with them?

At Faith Aglow we understand that worshipping in a new or different church or even just attending a new place could be daunting, so here are some insights to what to expect, just to make you more comfortable during your time with us...

During the service, we pray, sing (lyrics are projected on the screen for all to sing along), dance, interact as instructed, and listen to the Word of God. Everyone is free to pray and praise God in any language, style or posture they feel comfortable with, in connecting with our heavenly father.

However, during prayer sessions, the minister in charge may lead the congregation in congregational prayers or confessions and declarations of faith. Feel free to join in these powerful and inspirational sessions.

Sometimes, the minister may ask that we all say hello to someone we haven’t seen in church before or haven’t seen in a long while, or just to the person sat next to us. It somehow works as a way of getting to share a smile with someone.  We encourage you to go with the flow but please don’t feel offended if this is not your style.

On the first Sunday of every month, we share in The Communion which symbolizes the broken body and shed blood of our saviour Jesus Christ. We use flat bread and non-alcoholic wine for this purpose. In 1 Corinthians 11 verses 24 to 26, Jesus encourages us to share and partake in the Holy Communion in remembrance of Him - His life, death, resurrection and eventual return. Everyone is welcome to join in this feast. The minister will talk us through as we share together.

At some point in our services, the minister shares the Word of God in a sermon. During this time, we all listen attentively and are blessed by Gods Word. The minister will read passages from the Bible and might ask the congregation to read together and aloud, certain scriptures. All bible passages will also be projected on the screen for all to see and read along.

We understand that you may have some questions or need clarification on certain aspects of the sermon. This is absolutely fine as we all often times have questions. It is perfectly acceptable to note your questions or areas for clarification. After the service, everyone is welcome to enjoy some light refreshment, catch up with the minister and seek clarification to any part of the sermon. It’s another great way to get to know the minister as well and get to chat about more questions you may have. Please feel free to address the minister by his or her first name or if you would rather, you can address them as "reverend" before their names.

All are welcomed to make voluntary donations, offerings and tithes. The Bible encourages us to always come to God with something; never to come empty. All offerings are made to God and used for the running and maintaining of the church as well as for other community and charity works. However, giving is completely freewill and voluntary. Please do not feel pressured to give. If you would like to give, please pick up an envelope from the various locations in the church. Offering baskets are located at the front of the church. Please feel free to give your donations at the end of the service.

In the meantime, we look forward to having you in our midst and hope to have a lovely time together in God's presence.

God bless you.

OUR VALUES

FAITH…We believe that God wants salvation for everyone, in order to restore a personal relationship with him. We cannot be saved without FAITH. In fact, we begin with Faith (Ephesians 2:5-8). We cannot live for God without Faith in Him (Romans 1:17). We cannot please God without Faith (Hebrews 11:6). We cannot walk the Christian walk without Faith (2 Corinthians 5:7). Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Faith is important.

HEALING…We believe that God, our Heavenly Father is loving and wants us well. He has made provision for our health and healing in His Word through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. God has set The Church to pray against sickness and disease (Mark 16:15-18 and James 5:14-15).

WORSHIP…But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: ‭‭John‬ ‭4:23‬.

When we meet, we praise God and celebrate Jesus in a heartfelt worship, creating a unique spiritual atmosphere of peace and joy as a result of the presence of God. Acts 2:28.

PRESENCE…We believe that there is fun in serving God. For in His presence there is fullness of Joy....joy to the fullest. Psalms 16:11. It is also wonderful to know that God almighty resides in us and we are assured of His constant presence- Hebrews 13:5-6. Mark 16:20.

ANOINTING…We believe that the anointing of the Holy Ghost makes the difference in our lives. It is the anointing that breaks the yoke...the yokes of sickness and disease (Isaiah 10:27). Through the anointing, we receive power for the great commission to work for Jesus Christ, here on earth (Matthew 28:19 and Acts 1:8).

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in one God (The Creator of heaven and earth, who made man in His own image and likeness) with three divine persons in The Holy Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, became incarnate, was begotten by the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary and was both true God and true man. Jesus was crucified and died for the sins of mankind on the cross at Calvary, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven and is forever seated at the right hand of God the Father, making intercession for all. He desires that all accept His sacrifice and be reconciled to God.

We believe The Holy Bible, in its entirety, to be the inspired Word of God.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and eternal life for all those who believe in Jesus Christ.

We believe in the personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, by believing and confessing Him as Lord.

We believe in sanctification by the blood of Jesus Christ and in personal holiness of heart and life.

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, accompanied by the physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance. This, we believe, is distinct from the new birth, and from the nine fruits of the Spirit, which is now available to believers.

We believe in divine healing through faith and that healing is included in The Atonement.

We believe in the Christian's hope - the imminent, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in evangelism and missionary work in accordance with the Great Commission with signs following.
